CSPAN - 2008, Democratic Party Platform Drafting

Lawrence Korb, Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, speaks at the Democratic Party Platform Drafting commission.  Lawrence Korb emphasizes the importance of the US pulling troops out of Afghanistan.  Korb believes the US has missed their 'Golden Moment' to pull out, and we should look to take advantage of the next opportunity we have.  Korb feels pity for the coming President Obama because he is inheriting two wars and a shoddy Pentagon.  Korb feels it is the Presidents duty to restore the Pentagon and military back to 'efficient' state.
